Theatre

The Theatre is the perfect location for your next event. Located right in the heart of the CBD and close to accommodation venues, DRTCC is situated opposite picturesque Victoria Park and has ample free parking available within close proximity to the venue.

The Theatre is a 500 seat tiered-theatre with state-of-the art facilities including a comprehensive, computerised sound and lighting control room, box office, acoustically designed auditorium, hydraulic orchestra pit, fly tower, dressing rooms, ‘green room’, refreshment bar and accessible seating. 

Featuring fantastic sight lines from any seat, approximately 80% of the Theatre auditorium and Theatre foyer is equipped with an induction hearing loop compatible with T-switch hearing aids suitable for musicals and concerts which have the sound desk in the auditorium.  Please note it is not available in rows A, B or C due to the close proximity to the stage and speakers. 

The award-winning theatre opened in April 2010 and is the ideal venue for conferences, forums, plays, concerts and musicals. The attractive spacious and air-conditioned theatre foyer has views of Victoria Park and is the perfect venue for pre or post function drinks, catering, and displays. The Theatre Foyer is also available for hire as a stand-alone event.
