The Australian National Cavy Show

The Australian National Cavy (Guinea Pig) Show!

This is the annual show run by the Australian National Cavy Council Inc. A competition for pure bred show guinea pigs, over 500 guinea pigs will be coming to Dubbo to enter the show. All with the anticipation at the end of the day to win the Australian Title of Best Cavy in Show.

Cavy exhibitors will be travelling from all States of Australia to attend. Four top International Judges travelling from the United Kingdom have the task of assessing each cavy against the breed standard.

Over 40 different breeds will be judged, including, the “Siamese” of the cavy world the Himalayan, the beautiful spotted Dalmatian, curly coated Rex and the long coated varieties the Peruvian and the Texel to name a few.

There will be guineapigs to pat, free information on care of pet guineapigs as well as merchandise for sale.
