The 2018 DREAM Artist of the Year Award and Cocktail Party

Thursday 25 October 2018, 7pm
Venue: Theatre Foyer
Presented by The Macquarie Credit Union DREAM Festival

Proudly supported by

The Macquarie Credit Union DREAM Festival’s 2018 Artist of the Year is Dave Mason, a renowned singer-songwriter, record producer and actor.

Dave was a founding member and lead vocalist of The Reels, which shot to fame in the late 70s and throughout the 80s. He wrote many songs including Quasimodo’s Dream, which in 2001 was listed by the Australian Performing Rights Association (APRA) at No. 10 of their Top 30 Australian songs of all time.

Dave achieved critical acclaim as an actor in the Australian feature film Ghosts…. Of the Civil Dead, with Nick Cave; and in the past few years, Dave has had multiple collaborations with some of Australia’s most respected musicians. He recently joined Lindy Morrison and Amanda Brown of The Go-Betweens to form Sandy Shores, and has been performing throughout Australia.

This year's event will take the form of a cocktail party with question and answer session, and will be held in the foyer of the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear about Dave's journey and help celebrate the achievements of another successful artist who has emerged from the region.
