The Theatre or Convention Centre Foyers are the perfect location for your next small or large event. Located right in the heart of the CBD and close to accommodation venues, DRTCC is situated opposite picturesque Victoria Park and has ample free parking available within close proximity to the venue.           

The Theatre Foyer is modern and sophisticated and can be hired for stand-alone events.  Opened in 2010, the fully air-conditioned Theatre Foyer houses its own fully stocked bar, mezzanine level and oversized glass windows overlooking picturesque Victoria Park.  The venue is suitable for a number of events but is particularly popular for cocktail style events. The space is an ideal venue for a range of events including meetings, sit down dinners, weddings, concerts and cocktail receptions.

The Convention Centre Foyer is a large L-shaped area encompassing the southern and eastern sides of the flat floor Macquarie Auditorium.  The size of the Convention Centre's foyer makes it suitable for a diverse number of events including exhibitions and cocktail receptions.  The foyer is surrounded by large glass doors and windows overlooking Victoria Park. The Convention Centre Foyer has recently been renovated with new carpet throughout and repainting of the doors and walls.  The Convention Centre Foyer is not air-conditioned.

Complimentary Wi-fi access is readily available throughout the entire facility.  The hire fee includes a lectern and wired microphone (if required) and a projector and screen can be hired at an additional cost.  Other conference equipment items are also available for hire. Please contact us for more information if you are interested in holding a conference or meeting in one of our Foyers.

If you are interested in hosting a catered event, the Theatre Foyer features a bar and is in close proximity to the brand new kitchen.  Our team will set your tables as you require and provide bar staff complimentary when utilizing the bar as part of your event.  Chair covers, linen tablecloths and napkins are available for hire at an additional cost.  Please contact us for more information if you are interested in holding a catered event in the Theatre Foyer.

Alternatively the Convention Centre Foyer is suitably sized for an exhibition independently or in conjunction with a conference. The Convention Centre Foyer also features a sophisticated hanging system that can be utilized for art exhibitions on a per day pro rata basis.
