David Helfgott is a virtuoso pianist who touches the hearts of all who hear him and brings joy to concert goers of all ages. In 1996, the Oscar winning film Shine starring Geoffrey Rush as David Helfgott was released. David has since toured to 37 countries selling out some of the world’s most famous concert halls.

In 2012, he brings his shining pianistic wizardry to Dubbo before flying off to a Viennese audience of 40,000 for the ‘Life Ball’. In Dubbo, Helfgott will play a selection of the great romantic works by Rachmaninov and Chopin as well as his dazzling interpretation of Rimsky-Korsakov’s, The Flight of the Bumblebee. Adding extra value and contrast to the concert is Yantra de Vilder who loves to explore the intersection between classical and contemporary music. She is also an accomplished composer and sound artist who, last year, was awarded the prestigious International JD Music Award for instrumental composition.
